Man, moving house is EXTREMELY exhausting. I have trouble packing up for a week's holiday, so imagine having to pack ALL of our belongings! It felt like it would take forever to finish everything.
There were a lot of sorting, packing, disposing and of course, cleaning. It was hard work! You can't just leave the house you moved out from macam kapal karam, can you? Especially if it's a rented house. And there was one thing that my husband and I were most worried about.
Our little Picasso's artwork.
Yes, the crayon scribbles on the walls (and doors)! Especially the one in the living room.
I tried wiping with a damp cloth but it only worked on washable crayons. Same goes to baby wipes. I had to scrub real hard to get the stains off. Lap 30 saat dah lenguh macam buat pumping 100 kali.
I also tried using an all purpose cleaner and it was the same. Apparently, an "all purpose cleaner" does not include crayon stains.
We googled and found a few ways on how to remove crayon scribbles from walls. Some of the recommendations include toothpaste, hair spray, shaving cream and even mayonnaise. Interesting. But I didn't try any of them tho. I don't know... I just prefer to use toothpaste for my teeth, hair spray for hair, shaving cream for erm bulu and mayonnaise for my sandwiches, thank you very much. Can't imagine a mayonnaise-covered wall. Eeek.

Mamee Double Decker Group also offers a range of product from Snack to Beverage, such as Mamee Instant Noodle, Mister Potato, Corntoz, Mamee Monster, Double Decker, Smax, Funkees, Cheers Asian Drink, Cheers Carbonated Drink, Fruit Nation, Liteyo Yogurt Drink & Nutrigen. My favorite Mamee product is the Mamee SLLRRRP Kari Berapi (I've yet to try the Kari Xtra Pedas!).
I'm not usually a fan of curry-flavored instant noodles but I like this curry flavor because it's a little spicy - I love anything spicy! I usually add a few dashes of ground black pepper for a little extra kick. Sllrrrp!!! Tho I don't eat instant noodle that much, I do find myself craving for it once in a while. One of my guilty pleasures is eating instant noodle while watching a movie on my laptop in the middle of the night. Mmmm.... (Sheesh, now I'm hungry!)Labels: Advertorials, Random Stuff

Just go to Marie France Bodyline Malaysia Facebook page, "Like" it and vote for Shazwani in the Voting Gallery. As easy as that!

I could not imagine if we went there by car. And by car, I meant our sedan. There were 5 of us (including my sister-in-law) and tons of bags. No way we could stuff all that in a sedan!
Thank goodness tho, because PROTON Exora offered me to test-drive the Exora a few days before the trip. We were more than happy to do so, terus bawa pergi Janda Baik! ;D
I have to say, I was impressed when I first saw the MPV. The exterior looked amazing. The front part especially looks kinda Jazz-ish, doncha think? My husband even took his friends to their usual hanging out session in this Exora a few days earlier and they were pretty impressed with it too.

It's a 7-seater MPV and just like any MPVs, the size of Exora fits just nice for a family. My sister-in-law sat in the front seat while me and the kids sat in the second row seats.

We fold the third row seats and load it with all of our stuff. There were at least 6 bags I think, plus a bulky stroller!

You can never travel light when you have a kid. Heck, even I myself find it impossible to travel light even if it's just for a night. I like to have a few choices when I travel so I would always bring extra clothes and shoes, just in case. I always tell my husband, "Biar terlebih, jangan terkurang". Hee hee. True right? But men will never understand that. Pfft.
Glad this MPV understands!
There's a built-in DVD player too. My kids absolutely loved it, especially Ayra. She watched her favorite DVDs (before falling asleep) and was not cranky at all during the entire journey!

See how they're glued to the screen(this was at Genting Sempah; stopped to have breakfast)
Don't think our sedan could fit all of these!
Anyway, PROTON Exora is having a VIP Test Drive Session tomorrow (Saturday, 4th June) so if you are considering an MPV, come join it! Just register yourself at www.allaboutexora.com.
See you there if you're going, coz I am!

We only have 2 small children and their stuff alone takes up half the space in the car already! There's the stroller, car seat, baby carrier and a baby bag - the 4 essential items we must have in the car wherever we go. Ayra refuses to sit in the car seat since a couple of months ago so she seats at the back, strapped to the seat belt. I had to squeeze myself in the middle. Imagine if there are 2 car seats. Pengsan!

We bought our current car when we had our first child. It was okay back then. But now that we have two children, it's kinda difficult to travel around in comfort, especially if it's a long car ride or even if it's just for grocery shopping. The bulky stroller takes up a lot of space in the trunk of the car (and we're planning to get a second stroller or a double/tandem one sooner or later which is even more bulky!), what with the grocery items and everything... There's not an empty space left!

This is when I use my eco-friendly shopping bags to stuff my grocery items. But at times when I forgot to bring them (yeah well, these things happened), the boot is so full to the brim!
And yes, the front seat is also taken.

Well that's grocery shopping.
Can you imagine if we go traveling? One luggage for me, plus a vanity case and one bag just for my shoes, one luggage for my husband, one luggage for my girls (wait till they're older; they would want to have their own luggage!), the kids' feeding equipment (bottles, milk, sterilizer, breast pump, etc), pillows... the list goes on. Macam nak pindah rumah!
Don't get me wrong. I am thankful of what we currently have. I really do. But a sedan won't be enough to accommodate our growing family, especially when the kids are bigger and if we're planning to have more children in the future... right?
So yeah, we need a bigger car. An MPV or something.
Hmm that would be nice.

Me and my husband are the Non-Nerd + Nerd shopping team. I am usually the non-nerd one, obviously.
Situation 1:
Me: We need a new duvet cover! We only have a few.
Hubby: Tunggu sale la. Nanti mesti ada sale punya.
Me: Right...
Situation 2:
Me: I'm going to get the elliptical exercise machine thingy. Dah gemok sangat!
Hubby: Trust me, you won't use it. You don't need an exercise machine, you can do simple exercises without a machine blah blah blah...
Me: Fine
Or sometimes it's the other way round.
Hubby: Do you want iPhone 4?
Me: It's okay. My current one still boleh pakai lagi. Tunggu iPhone 5 la kot.
Hubby: Okay
Which one are you?
I hope not the Two Nerds team!

An elliptical machine.

I am a full-time breastfeeding mom and I get hungry all the time so it's very very challenging to watch what I eat. Everything looks yummy when you're so hungry. I'm not one of those lucky moms who can shed a lot while breastfeeding (not fair ok), so I thought maybe I could start exercising instead. But I would need an exercise machine to help me with that. The elliptical machine seemed perfect.
I could imagine waking up early every day, have my breakfast shake and start working out while watching Glee or something. Or do you workout first and then only have your breakfast? Either way, it'd be fun! Maybe I would start making exercise as my daily routine! Gosh, just thinking about it makes me so bersemangat!
My husband doesn't agree with the idea of buying that exercise machine tho. He doubts I would really use it because I had never exercised in my whole life! Gee thanks for the encouragement, hun. I guess having a gym in our dream home is out of the question then?
He suggested I do simple exercises on my own like sit-ups and stuff. *yawn*
And then he gave me this link.
Do not buy a bulky and expensive home gym contraption. Do not buy a bulky and expensive cardio machine. The vast majority of people who buy expensive home exercise equipment never use it, and the equipment ends up being used as a very expensive coat rack, or just collecting dust in the basement or garage. So save yourself a small fortune and avoid buying any expensive home exercise equipment because chances are that you'll never use it.
Fine.
Maybe I'll just buy myself an oven instead.
And dumbbells.
That doesn't count as exercise machine, does it?
p/s: Despite being discouraging about the elliptical machine, my husband gave me the perfect birthday present - my dream bag! Well, one of my dream bags ;p

Pisau tu menetak kepala kita macam mana orang memecahkan tempurung kelapa. Belum masuk tangan, kaki, badan, etc.
Hadis Nabi mengenai wanita.
Nilai Seorang Wanita Solehah
Ibnu - Majah.

I was just testing out Blogger's Template Designer feature and the next thing I know, I changed the whole thing! I don't actually mind losing the old template tho because I kind of hate it (too cutesy-girly) and believe me, I had been wanting to change to a different one since years ago.
Please excuse me while my blog is undergoing a major construction yea. I know, it's not pink at all. I will edit the template - change the background color or opt for a different template or something....I don't know. I'll figure out later.
Stay tuned!
p/s: I revamped my blogshop too!
**Updated**
Decided to switch back to my old template while we (my husband and I) work on the new one because all the comments in my previous posts disappeared (I forgot my Haloscan/JS-kit password boleh tak?!), plus the previous template was too "serious"! ;p

That is a Pajero decorated with toy figures, in case you're wondering. My husband saw it at Mid Valley the other day, snapped some pictures to show them to me and I just had to show them to you guys!

That's A LOT of toys! Dalam kereta pun ada. Crazy right?
I bet everyone who sees it would be so amused.

There's Goofy, Shrek, Woody of Toy Story, Mickey Mouse, heck even Satria Baja Hitam pun ada! I guess the owner of this vehicle must be so obsessed with toy figures! It's interesting to see what people would do to decorate their cars.
Do you decorate your car?

Tak sampai seminggu we had to send the maid back to Indonesia. Banyak songeh la maid muda (she's 23 by the way). After all the money my husband spent uruskan passport dia and brought her here and whatnot, dia buat hal pulak. Kita punya la kesian kat dia sebab dia orang susah, ada anak kecik kat Indonesia, datang sini bawak paper bag jer so I gave her a few of my clothes, towel, heck I even gave her my MNG and Esprit tops (ada ker maid pakai MNG/Esprit? ;p) ingatkan dia nak kerja betul-betul. I mean, bukan susah sangat pun. My house is not that big, plus I'm around to handle Raina and I'm the one who cooks so bukannya banyak sangat kerja. Or maybe sebab tak banyak kerja kot dia tak nak kerja with me (tapi gaji standard, takde kurang pun). When my husband wanted to make a permit, dia tak nak and told him dia nak kerja kat kedai dengan "sepupu" dia pulak sebab gaji lagi banyak. Tiba-tiba la pulak ada sepupu kat Malaysia. I bet she was planning to work with us for a few months lepas tu nak lari kot, sebab tu taknak buat permit. And not only that, she made up stories mengadu kat "sepupu" dia kata we all tak bagi dia makan. Haihh....
You see, when she first arrived I asked her what she usually eats for breakfast (coz hubby and I have Herbalife shake) and is it okay if she eats bread/buns? She answered, "Enggak pernah, enggak apa-apa". I thought dia memang jenis tak makan breakfast coz some people memang jenis tak breakfast kan. But I did tell her, "kalau nak makan apa-apa, beritahu yer. Boleh suruh bapak (my husband) beli" sebab mana la tahu dia tak biasa makan what we eat ker kan. I told her there's tea, Horlicks, cappuccino, fruits, biscuits, etc if she wants. Macam-macam la dorang ni. Majikan baik, kau tak bersyukur.
When we agreed to send her back, she was expecting my husband to send her to her cousin's place (somewhere in KL). Of course that didn't happen coz we were responsible for bringing her here so it's our responsibility to bring her back to her husband in Indonesia. She was kinda shocked. Padan muka kau.
And so burn la a few thousand Ringgits just like that. Baik kirai beli LV bag jer. Huhhh!
So now I'm back to square one. But that's okay, I prefer handling everything on my own daripada dapat maid yang entah apa-apa. If the maid is not happy, so are we. And maybe I should always trust my first instinct - I had a bad feeling when I first looked at her passport photo. Hmph!
