Friso Family Day Out

(This is a 48-hour sticky post, scroll down for updates!)

Having a child changes me both physically (that's the most obvious ;p) and emotionally. I've become more alert, more sensitive, more caring, more loving and more worried than ever. I think of my baby like 839,183,145 times a day (I'm sure all mothers too), wondering if she had enough sleep, if I'm feeding her right, if she drinks enough milk, if she gains enough weight, if it's okay to feed her this and that, why she's crying, why she poops too much or too little, etc etc. The list is endless! I find myself constantly worried, especially if my baby is sick. My baby's pain feels so much worse than my own.

So far in her 1 year of life, my baby had fallen sick twice. She had diarrhea once when she was about 4 months old (my Paed suspected contaminated water and told me that breastfed babies don't need to drink plain water), and then again when she was 10 months old (I was away to Singapore for the Nuffnang Blog Awards and left her with my husband at my PIL's). It was heart-wrenching to see her in pain.

Bacterias and germs are like everywhere.
And what's worse - babies like to put everything they can get into their mouths!

While vaccination is important for children, it doesn't guarantee immunity. Breastfed babies have stronger immune system, but not all mothers are able to breastfeed their babies until 2 years old so in this case, choosing the right formula milk and also practicing a healthy and hygienic routine is vital. It's important to feed your child with healthy nutritious food too bcoz not eating healthily is one of the factors that may affect your child's immune system.

Homemade food are the best!

Nutrients that help to build a strong immunity as well as the growth and development of your child include protein, vitamins, mineral, prebiotics and healthy live bacterias (probiotics).

Friso Gold is specially formulated with Frisoshield P2 Dual System and has the important nutrient combination - 2 Prebiotics, 2 Probiotics, 5 Nucleotides, Selenium and 4 Carotenes - to enhance the well-being of children. Even tho your child is no longer a baby, milk is still very important to be included in their daily diet bcoz growing kids are curious kids and they need to be tough inside to fight off bacterias and germs that can cause illnesses.

Speaking of which, Friso is organizing a Family Day Out on the 2nd of January 2010, at Kizsports & Gym, One Utama. There'll be loads of games and contests for your kids, and also parenting tips for mommies and daddies. If you wanna get the invitation to the event, simply log on to, upload a picture and decorate it to show how your kids fight off bacterias and germs using the tools provided, then use the decorated picture to make an entry in your blog entitled "Curious kids need to be tough inside" and write a bit on how to increase your child's immune system.

The best entry would win 3D2N holiday package for a family of 4 to Hong Kong Disneyland! And not only that, RM100 Toys 'R' Us vouchers will be given to 10 blog entries with the most effort. Coolness!
